Good evening all. We had a pretty good day today, and got almost everything done that I wanted. The kids and I went to the library for a few hours and I picked up a movie and Jimmy Buffett CD and the kids each got a book and a movie. I let the kids play for quite a while with all the toys in the kids' area and I got some "mommy time" to read a couple of magazines. We went to the store after the library to pick up a few things for dinner and breakfast tomorrow. While we were at the store David and I decided that it would be fun to bake a cake for daddy as a surprise. David picked out Chris' favorite - a "funfetti" cake. He also picked out some ocean decorations so he could decorate the cake. I think he did a good job for his first ever cake decorating experience. It tasted pretty yummy too!

While we were at Meijer getting our groceries we stopped to look at all the fish. David and Lauren always get so excited about the fish that I thought they would enjoy having some to look at all the time. We got two dwarf spotted goldfish and a cute little yellow snail. The fish in the front of the bowl is "Tutu" (Lauren's fish, it's one of the few words she will say consistently). David's fish is in the background. His name is Spot, and he is very camera shy. I couldn't get one non-blurry picture of him! The snail has two names. I named him Hercules and David calls him Slimy. I don't think the snail really cares what his name is so I don't think we'll confuse him :oD

Well, I'm off to iron a pair of pants for Chris to wear to work tomorrow and then I'm off to bed!! I hope everyone had a great weekend and we'll talk to you soon!!
